Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LongDoc OCR (the "Service"), operated by LongDoc OCR ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy.

1. The Service

LongDoc OCR lets you convert PDFs and images into text and Markdown with optical character recognition (OCR) models. Results are produced by third-party AI models and may contain recognition errors; check important documents against the original.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for your account and for all activity under it. Keep your sign-in details secure.

3. Third-party OCR providers

Documents are converted by third-party OCR service providers: Baidu AI Cloud. OCR models currently used: Unlimited OCR 2. The documents you upload are sent to these providers only to convert them into text. LongDoc OCR is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these providers or the makers of the models. LongDoc OCR is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Baidu. The model name Unlimited OCR 2 is used only to identify a model this site uses. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

4. Credits

• Conversions are paid with credits: 1 credit per page, as shown on the Pricing page and before you start a conversion. Credits are reserved when a conversion starts and returned automatically if it fails, times out or is cancelled. The free trial uses a daily allowance instead of credits.
• Credits from credit packs do not expire. Credits included in a monthly plan are valid only for the billing period they were granted for: unused plan credits expire when that period ends and do not roll over.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for money, transferred or resold.
• If your account is terminated for a reason other than a breach of these Terms, unused credits remain usable for 30 days.
• If you delete your account yourself, all credits still unused at that moment are forfeited: they are not refunded, cannot be restored and do not carry over to a new account. Request any refund you are entitled to under the Refund Policy before you delete your account.

5. Subscriptions and automatic renewal

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (as shown at checkout) and are charged at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise these recurring charges.
• You can cancel at any time in your account under My Subscriptions with one click. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access and the credits already granted until the end of the current period. You do not need to email us to cancel.
• We will tell you in advance about any price change for future periods.
• Monthly plans include a fixed number of credits for each billing period. Plan credits are used before credits from credit packs. Unused plan credits do not roll over to the next period.
• When you run out you can buy a credit pack or upgrade. An upgrade during a period is charged at the price difference for the days left in the period (difference × remaining days ÷ days in the period, rounded up to the cent; a started day counts as a full day), and you receive the extra credits for the same share of the period immediately. The new price applies from the next renewal. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal.
• We email you 7 days before each renewal. There is no pay-as-you-go billing and no annual plan.

6. Payment

Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake. Purchases paid through Waffo Pancake are processed by Waffo Pancake as merchant of record. The payment processor's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your payment. We do not store full card numbers. The charge will appear on your statement under the name shown at checkout.

Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which are calculated and shown at checkout.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which is also shown at checkout. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or Australia, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal; because digital content is supplied immediately, this right ends once you start using the credits you bought, where the law allows.

8. Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Only upload documents you have the right to process. Do not use the Service to forge or falsify documents, to read other people's documents without authorisation, or to process content that is illegal.

We may refuse a conversion, delete results, withhold or remove credits obtained through abuse, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

9. Content and intellectual property

You keep any rights you have in the documents you upload. Subject to these Terms and to the OCR providers' terms, you may use the text extracted from them. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your documents and results only to run the Service, check them against our rules and comply with law. You must not use results to infringe anyone's rights. OCR results can contain recognition errors; check important documents against the original.

10. Content moderation

We do not scan the contents of your file before it is converted; we only check that it is within the file type, size and page limits. After conversion, the first 20,000 characters of the extracted text are checked automatically against an internal keyword list before the result is shown. If the check fails, no result is shown and you get the attempt back: a free document does not count towards your daily free limit, and for paid conversions the reserved credits are returned. Each check is recorded (job id, decision, category and time; never the document or its text), and these records are deleted after 180 days. Report content that breaks our rules to support@unlimited-ocr2.com.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

12. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the Service before they take effect. You may stop using the Service at any time.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
