Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to the documents and images you upload to LongDoc OCR and to the text extracted from them.
1. Prohibited content
You must not upload, convert or share:
- Sexual content: pornography or sexually explicit material of any kind.
- Violence and gore: content that glorifies or incites violence, self-harm or suicide.
- Hate speech and harassment: content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics; threats, bullying or harassment.
- Child safety: any sexualised content involving minors (CSAM), or content that endangers or exploits children. We report such content to the competent authorities.
- Fraud and impersonation: forged or falsified documents, identity documents or records of other people used without their authorisation, impersonation of real people, brands or organisations, and political disinformation.
- Copyright and trademark infringement: documents you have no right to copy or process, or content that otherwise infringes copyright, trademark, publicity or privacy rights.
Also prohibited: illegal activity, scams, spam, malware, automated bulk use that gets around the free limits, and attempts to get around our checks.
2. Other people's personal data
Documents often contain personal data (names, ID numbers, contracts, medical or financial records). Only upload a document if you are allowed to share it with us and with our OCR provider. Before you upload, the upload form asks you to tick a box agreeing that your file is sent to a third-party OCR provider and processed on servers in mainland China; without that confirmation the file is not uploaded or converted.
3. OCR results
Results are produced automatically by an OCR model and can contain recognition errors. The result page names the OCR model that converted your document. Check important results against the original, and do not present an OCR result as a certified copy or an official translation.
4. How we check
We do not scan the contents of your file before it is converted; we only check that it is within the file type, size and page limits. After conversion, the first 20,000 characters of the extracted text are checked automatically against an internal keyword list before the result is shown. If the check fails, no result is shown and you get the attempt back: a free document does not count towards your daily free limit, and for paid conversions the reserved credits are returned. Each check is recorded (job id, decision, category and time; never the document or its text), and these records are deleted after 180 days.
5. Enforcement
Depending on severity we may refuse the conversion, delete results, remove credits obtained through abuse, suspend or permanently close the account, and report illegal content to the authorities. Child safety violations lead to immediate account closure.
6. Reporting and appeals
Report content or behaviour that breaks this policy, including copyright or trademark complaints, on the Report Content or Abuse page linked in the footer, or to support@unlimited-ocr2.com. We aim to act on reports within 2 business days, faster for child safety reports. If you think we made a mistake about your content or account, reply to our notice or write to support@unlimited-ocr2.com to appeal; a person will review it.
